In the first quarter, the export volume of shrimp products was 320 million pounds, a year-on-year increase of 17.3%, with an average price of $5.75 per pound.
The main export destination for Ecuadorian shrimp products is China, accounting for 58.4% of total exports, followed by the United States (15.2%) and the European Union (11.1%).
Ecuador's total exports of non-oil products increased by 5.4% to $4.737 billion, resulting in a trade surplus of $368 million for the country.
