The report indicates that Cambodian rice is exported to 69 countries and regions worldwide through 57 exporters. Of this, 248,000 tons were exported to 26 European countries, generating $1.9 billion in revenue; 143,000 tons were exported to China, generating $0.9 billion in revenue; 132,000 tons were exported to ASEAN countries, generating $0.5 billion in revenue; and 73,000 tons were exported to 32 countries in Africa, the Middle East, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and others, generating $0.6 billion in revenue. Among the exported rice varieties, fragrant rice holds an absolute dominant position, accounting for nearly 70%.
Additionally, in the first three quarters of this year, Cambodia exported a total of 5.248 million tons of rice, generating $1.21 billion in revenue.
