The Stavropol Territory in Russia has seen a surge in coriander cultivation due to its high essential oil content, which is in demand from eastern buyers. The region, which accounts for 15% of the Russian and 2% of the international market for coriander, has doubled its coriander cultivation area over the past 10 years. The agricultural holding 'My Dream' is a major contributor, devoting about 10 thousand hectares to essential herbs, including 6 thousand hectares to coriander. The company also grows other essential and medicinal plants. The profit lies in the processing of these essential oils, with the finished product being peeled and packaged coriander, which is preferred by foreign buyers mainly from Asia and the Middle East.
