Ukraine is experiencing a significant drop in blueberry prices, reaching a record low of UAH 80/kg, or about $1.9/kg, making it the most affordable berry in the market. This price drop is part of a global trend of increasing blueberry production, says Andrii Yarmak of the FAO. Despite the challenges, Yarmak anticipates growth in the frozen blueberry segment, with demand increasing in the EU and Asia. Meanwhile, the price of potatoes for the 2024 harvest in Ukraine is also decreasing rapidly.
