Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto aims for the country to achieve self-sufficiency in rice, corn, and salt by 2026. The country has already ceased importing food this year and is expected to produce 1.3 million tons of rice in January and 2.08 million tons in February. Corn production is projected to rise to 20 million tons, surpassing domestic needs. The government is working on ways to stabilize corn prices due to the increase in domestic supply.
