Indonesian Coordinating Minister Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan has urged South Korean business leaders to invest in projects related to seaweed cultivation, fisheries, and resort development in the Natuna Islands. This invitation was extended during the Maekyung Indonesia Forum, marking the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Indonesia and South Korea. Pandjaitan also proposed the creation of a special task force to speed up the development plan and requested that project details be finalized during the anticipated September 2023 visit of South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol to Indonesia. The discussion also encompassed potential investments in electric vehicles, lithium batteries, health, and biotechnology sectors.
