Peru: INIA launches a new variety of tarwi on the market with greater productivity and profitability

Thanks to its high productivity, good quality of grain for the market and its nutritional benefits, this crop would be providing an alternative solution to the problem of malnutrition. The National Institute of Agrarian Innovation approved the release of the new variety of tarwi called "INIA 445- Masacanchino" that will improve both the productivity and profitability of the producers of this crop in Junín and Huancavelica, and also constitutes an alternative to malnutrition . This was established through Chief Resolution No. 0076-2021-INIA, published in the extraordinary edition of the Legal Norms Bulletin of the official newspaper El Peruano.
