Between March 21, 2023, and March 19, 2024, Iran significantly increased its fresh date exports to over 389,000 tons, generating more than $345 million in revenue. This period saw a notable rise in both the quantity and value of exports compared to the previous year. India emerged as the leading importer, with Pakistan, Turkey, Kazakhstan, China, Iraq, and Russia also being major destinations. The Mazafati variety was particularly favored among these exports. This performance underscores Iran's status as the world's third-largest producer of fresh dates, with its products reaching numerous countries across different continents.
