In February, there was a noticeable increase in the prices of food products in Ukraine, with meat products seeing an average rise of 0.50%. Pork, chicken, and beef prices increased by 1.05%, while lard saw a significant increase of 7.62%. Sausages, however, became slightly cheaper, with a decrease in price by 0.02%. Dairy products also contributed to the overall price hike, with an average increase of 1.66%. Cheese and butter prices rose by 1.04% and 1.02% respectively, with milk leading the price increase at 4.57%. This follows previous reports of retail conspiracy leading to product price increases, with sugar, butter, and eggs seeing the highest price hikes last year.
