The agricultural corporation Jeju Fertilizer Co., Ltd. (CEO Lee Yong-min) has built automated equipment to replace the outdated product production facilities to enhance its production capabilities of crop-specific organic compound fertilizers suitable for Jeju soil, thereby strengthening its role in supporting the production of high-quality agricultural products. Jeju Special Self-Governing Province supported the introduction of raw material input and weighing, mixing facilities, and pellet forming machinery equipment with 500 million won in business expenses to expand the supply base of organic fertilizers, aiming to create a clean agricultural environment and resolve the overuse of inorganic (chemical) fertilizers. Additionally, Jeju Fertilizer applied for and was selected as a recipient for the Robot Utilization Manufacturing Innovation Support Project task implemented by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups this year, receiving 216 million won in national funding.
