Jeju has completed the establishment of a digital-based sweet potato production system.

The Jeju Special Self-Governing Province Agricultural Technology Institute (Director Ko Sang-hwan) announced that it has completed the establishment of a digital-based hydroponic seed potato production system. The Institute built an advanced greenhouse last year and this year established a complex automatic control system that integrates the management of cultivation environments such as nutrient solution, temperature, ventilation, and shading, completing the digital-based production system. In the process of promoting the project, the Institute analyzed accumulated weather data and nutrient solution supply data using machine learning methods to derive key standard values for nutrient solution supply control, and established the basic framework for a nutrient solution supply model based on fuzzy control to respond to changes in external environments such as temperature, solar radiation, and humidity.
