Jeonnam Provincial Agricultural Museum is launching activities to focus on the region's valuable tangible and intangible agricultural heritage, including field surveys and the publication of research books. Jeonnam, known as the "Rice Bowl," is a region of high global value and significance, boasting a vast array of cultural heritage related to agriculture based on its status as a leading grain-producing area in the country. To this end, the Jeonnam Agricultural Museum (Director Kim Ok-gyeong) plans to conduct field surveys until this year, along with preliminary research, basic data collection, and on-site interviews with inheritors to illuminate the historical value of Jeonnam's agricultural culture. The field surveys will focus on Wando Cheongsan Island, which has been designated as a Globally Important Agricultural Heritage Site and a National Important Agricultural Heritage Site.
