The IX Festival Gastronómico del Cuy and the Festival de Floricultores Sapallanga 2025 were launched, which will take place on December 8th at the Parque 28 de Julio, in the district of Sapallanga, Huancayo province, Junín region. The event is dedicated to gastronomy, agriculture, and local tradition. The event is organized by the Sapallanga Agrarian Office of the Regional Directorate of Agriculture of Junín. During this celebration, visitors will be able to enjoy activities such as the cuy fashion contest, the cuy peeling contest, the zorrito search, and the cuy race, in addition to the exhibition and sale of the best cuy specimens and a wide variety of ornamental plants. Additionally, there will be a contest for typical dishes based on cuy meat, where local producers will offer the public various traditional stews and appetizers at affordable prices for the whole family.
