The related documents were signed within the framework of bilateral negotiations between the veterinary authorities of the two countries. The achievement of this agreement has opened up a new export channel for Kazakhstan's livestock products, expanded the geographical scope of agricultural product supply, and also helped to strengthen economic and trade cooperation with Middle Eastern countries.
The negotiation and recognition of veterinary standards reflect Iraq's high level of trust in Kazakhstan's veterinary supervision system, marking an important step in enhancing Kazakhstan's livestock export capabilities. Iraq has already become a new emerging market for Kazakhstan's agricultural products, and the foreign trade sector of the agricultural complex is showing a positive development trend.
The committee stated that it will continue to negotiate veterinary and sanitary standards with other countries based on the needs of domestic export enterprises, and provide systematic support for enterprises to develop overseas markets.
It is worth mentioning that Yermek Kenzhakanov, Deputy Minister of Agriculture of Kazakhstan, recently met with Wang Lingjun, Deputy Director of the General Administration of Customs of China, in Beijing. The two sides exchanged information on the requirements and procedures for import and export plant quarantine and discussed ways to enhance the interaction efficiency of agricultural products during transportation.
