According to data from local enforcement agencies, various regions have collectively stored 25 million tons of hay (103.1% of the plan), 1.9 million tons of semi-dry green fodder (113.3%), 5.4 million tons of compound feed (98.4%), 2.1 million tons of silage (107.3%), and 4.9 million tons of straw (106.6%).
The total production of various types of fodder across the country reached 39.8 million tons, sufficient to meet the needs of livestock over the winter, forming a relatively ample reserve. Some provinces completed their storage tasks with high standards, significantly exceeding the plan.
The regions that exceeded the plan include: North Kazakhstan Region (147.1%), East Kazakhstan Region (116.0%), Almaty Region (105.6%), Jetisu Region (104.5%), Aktobe Region (103.2%), Kyzylorda Region (102.3%), and Ulytau Region (102.4%).
In terms of semi-dry green fodder preparation, North Kazakhstan Region (163.5%), Jambyl Region (114.6%), Kostanay Region (108.0%), Almaty Region (107.5%), Pavlodar Region (105.0%), Turkestan Region (106.2%), and Jetisu Region (105.1%) performed exceptionally.
The current level of fodder reserves is sufficient to meet the needs of the national livestock industry, ensuring that livestock can smoothly get through the winter of 2025 to 2026, minimizing the risk of fodder shortages.
