The President of Kazakhstan proposed to Russia the creation of joint clusters for deep processing of grain.
"Russia is the largest global producer and supplier of grain. Kazakhstan is also among the world leaders in this regard. Given our enormous potential in this area, we propose to consider the project of creating joint clusters for deep processing of grain. This will allow us to produce not only wheat and flour, but also products with high added value," said Kassym-Jomart Tokayev at the "Central Asia – Russia" summit.
According to him, Kazakhstan and Russia should focus on the joint implementation of innovations: agricultural technology startups, the widespread use of precision farming technologies, the development of modern agro-logistics sites, the formation of competence centers, including the use of artificial intelligence.
"We must proceed from the strategic vision of transforming the agro-industrial complex into a high-tech industry, without entering into mutual competition..."
