[Korea Farmers and Fishermen Newspaper, Reporter Kang Jae-nam] The Jeju Stud Farm of the Korea Racing Authority held a ceremony to commemorate the 30th anniversary of its opening on the 4th. The ceremony was attended by approximately 500 people, including National Assemblyman Moon Dae-rim, Jeju Provincial Council Chairman Lee Sang-bong, Jeju City Mayor Kim Wan-geun, thoroughbred horse-breeding farmers, provincial officials, local residents, horse racing-related organizations, and Korea Racing Authority staff members. The event featured a history report, sharing of the 30th anniversary achievements, a tour of the Jeju Stud Farm facilities, and more. Since opening in 1995, the Jeju Stud Farm has laid the foundation for the development of the Korean horse industry by establishing a domestic thoroughbred horse supply base over the past 30 years. The introduction of excellent breeding mares, education and research, and advanced breeding and training have been key components.
