A cargo ship loaded with 68 tonnes of mangosteens from Indonesia successfully arrived at Qinzhou Port in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China, after an eight-day journey. The fruits were promptly cleared through customs and distributed across nearby provinces and major economic zones. This event highlights Qinzhou Port's significant role along the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor, showcasing a surge in fruit imports, particularly from ASEAN countries, and an improvement in trade volume and value. The port's enhanced logistics and infrastructure, including express lines and optimized cold chain services, cater to the increasing demand for diverse fruits among Chinese consumers and bolster trade relations between China and ASEAN nations. Additionally, the development of the land-sea trade corridor is anticipated to foster new economic and trade cooperation opportunities between China and the ASEAN, as noted by Zuo.
