In 2021, Ukraine saw a significant increase in its poultry exports, reaching an absolute record of 459 thousand tons with a 29% rise in sales, generating $716 million. The country also experienced a 30% increase in revenue from meat and offal exports, amounting to $846 million. The export of meat and offal products was diversified to various regions including the Middle East, Asia, the European Union, the CIS, and Africa. Saudi Arabia emerged as the leading importer of Ukrainian meat, followed by the Netherlands and China. Despite an EU ban on chicken imports from regions with bird flu, it did not significantly impact the overall export figures.
