A survey at markets and vegetable shops in Ho Chi Minh City shows that most items have increased by 1,000-2,000 VND compared to the previous day and are 30-50% higher than the same period last year. The aromatic vegetable group increased the most: spring onions at 80,000-100,000 VND per kg, lettuce and coriander at 70,000 VND, basil at 60,000 VND, and dill up to 120,000 VND. Broccoli - the scarcest item, is currently sold at 60,000-65,000 VND per kg, an increase of about 50%. At MM Market, Go!, and Aeon supermarkets, vegetable prices also increased by 5,000-15,000 VND. Water spinach is 35,000 VND per bunch, spinach is 30,000 VND, lettuce is 40,000 VND; and popular tomatoes and cucumbers are at 50,000-70,000 VND per kg. The supply at the wholesale markets remains low, at 2,300-2,400 tons per day. Although the weather has improved, many vegetables like spring onions and broccoli are still scarce.
