The recent decision by the Government to temporarily eliminate the 5% export duties for beef has created an opportunity to improve the competitiveness of the sector.
Let's recall the scene: to obtain urgent foreign currency and to stabilize the dollar until the elections, the government eliminated all withholdings on grains on a Monday, a benefit that lasted only 48 hours and was mainly taken advantage of by large grain companies. But the next day, the Executive Power realized that it had left out meats, and established the same benefit (0% withholding) for beef exports.
In this case, as there was no limit, the measure is in effect until October 31st.
