In the village of Dobrinovo, Karnobat municipality, there is one of the most modern dairy farms in the region – "Roka Agro Milk" of Mr. Ivanov and Krasimir Koychev. The two started in 2005 with just five cows, and today the farm raises over 500 dairy animals, mainly Holstein and Bulgarian Simmental cattle. The farm is equipped to all standards of modern animal husbandry – fans, scratchers, mattresses, and automation in feeding. The average milk yield exceeds 30 liters per cow, and the production is realized in partnership with a local dairy, with which the farmers maintain friendly relations. "It is important to feel a partnership, not just to deliver milk," says Mr. Ivanov. "This is one of the reasons we continue to invest and develop," he adds.
