The regional governor of Lima, Rosa Vásquez Cuadrado, inaugurated the Amuna Tagana qocha, a hydraulic infrastructure that will store nearly 13,000 cubic meters of water and ensure the irrigation of 74 hectares of crops, benefiting over 60 producers in the Chinchagoza sector, in the district of San Andrés de Tupicocha, Huarochirí province. During the event, the district mayor Roy Vilcayauri highlighted that, in the rainy season, the qocha —whose wall has been made impermeable with geotextile and geomembrane— will capture and conserve the water resource, guaranteeing continuous irrigation for the area.
