Songkhla province in Thailand is a major producer of Jinda large-fruited chili peppers, also known as Green chili peppers, with an annual value of over 99.47 million baht. These peppers are primarily grown in Ranot and Krasaesin districts and are largely exported to Malaysia. The production involves about 2,450 rai of land, with a yield of 3,978.80 tons, and each rai can yield 1,624 kg. The average return for farmers is 40,600 baht per rai per year. Due to the humid conditions, farmers need to maintain ditches for water management. The majority of the produce is exported from Sadao Customs House and the Padang Besar Plant Checkpoint. Farmers need to monitor and control seasonal diseases like anthracnose and root rot to maintain quality. The Office of Agricultural Economics 9 (NESDB 9) can be contacted for more information.
