During the XXXII Hispano-Portuguese summit, Spanish Minister of Agriculture, Luis Planas, emphasized the importance of enhancing institutional harmony and applying it to other areas of mutual benefit. Both countries are working towards a sustainable Common Agricultural Policy and fisheries policy. They are also collaborating in health sectors, including the control of diseases like bluetongue, Xylella fastidiosa, and Trioza eritreae, and reducing antibiotic use to combat antimicrobial resistance.
