Maize export permits extended for 180 days in Argentina

The Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries of Argentina ordered the granting of an exceptional extension for 180 days for shipments of grain corn, with the aim of alleviating the inconveniences caused by the drought. Resolution 78/2023 published in the Official Gazette by the SAGyP grants an Exceptional Automatic Extension of 180 calendar days to Affidavits of Sale Abroad (DJVE) for corn whose expiration of the declared shipping period, plus the automatic extension, was scheduled for the period between March 1 and July 31. In mid-December, Agriculture took the same measure for corn whose maturity was scheduled for that month, January and February. As a result of the granting of this extension, the possibility of an extraordinary extension of 30 days granted by the usual system of affidavits is excluded.
