The beginning of this week saw increased activity in soybean negotiations at Brazilian ports. According to analyst Rafael Silveira from consultancy Safras & Mercado, trading volumes increased, particularly in Paranaguá, where the offers proved more attractive. The Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) recorded a strong rise in soybean futures, driven by the expectation that China will resume large-scale purchases of the U.S. crop following the trade agreement between the two countries. According to the consultancy, the planting of the 2025/26 crop in Brazil reached 46.2% of the planned area by October 31, up from 34.1% the previous week and 52.9% in the same period last year. The historical average for the period is 55%. Soybean export inspections in the United States totaled 965,063 tons in the week ending October 30, down from 1,160,567 tons the previous week and 2,313,027 tons in the same period last year.
