Mapa announces 19 new authorizations for meatpacking plants to export Brazilian meat to South Africa

The Brazilian government welcomed the confirmation by the South African government of the authorization of 19 more meat processing plants to export Brazilian meat. The list includes establishments specializing in beef, pork and poultry. With the new authorizations, the total number of Brazilian establishments authorized to export to South Africa reaches 28, including those that have had their certification conditions updated. The new authorizations are located in nine Brazilian states. São Paulo leads the list with six meat processing plants, followed by Rio Grande do Sul, Paraná, Mato Grosso do Sul, Santa Catarina, Minas Gerais, Bahia, Goiás and Rio de Janeiro.
