The third quarter of 2025 closed with a largely favorable outlook for Argentine livestock. According to the quarterly report No. 55 of Economic Livestock Results, prepared by the Livestock Analysis Directorate of the Secretariat of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries (SAGPyA), virtually all productive setups presented gross margins above the historical average of the series initiated in 2011. In the case of breeding, the margins calculated for a typical 450-hectare farm in the Salado Basin reached $236,961 per hectare in August, 20% more than the series average and 32% higher than the result from a year ago. Full-cycle systems also showed good numbers: in central-southern Córdoba, the current gross margin is $219,582 per hectare, 17% above the historical average and 45% higher than in August 2024.
