The Brazilian government has announced trade approvals by Panama and Angola, allowing the import of various agricultural products from Brazil. Panama has approved poultry, pork meat and offal, while Angola has permitted the import of live sheep and goats for breeding, along with their genetic material. These approvals are expected to boost trade flows with these countries. From January to July 2024, Brazil exported over US$55 million to Panama and over US$211 million to Angola. This is part of the broader achievement of 99 market openings in 2024, totaling 177 openings in 58 destinations since 2023, a success credited to the collaboration between the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (Mapa) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MRE).
