MEF sets reference prices and variable fees for corn, sugar, rice, and milk

The Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF) approved the reference prices and additional variable fees for the imports of corn, sugar, rice, and whole milk powder.

Through Vice Ministerial Resolution No. 018-2025-EF/15.01, published on September 23 in the Legal Norms bulletin of the official journal El Peruano, it was established that the reference price for corn will be $200 per metric ton (MT), with an additional variable fee of $0 per MT.

For sugar, the reference price will be $479 per MT, with an additional variable fee of $43 per MT.

In the case of rice, the reference price was set at $496 per MT, with an additional variable fee of $81 for husked rice and $116 for milled rice.

Finally, for whole milk powder, the reference price will be $4309 per MT, with an additional variable fee of -$447.
