China has opened four markets for Brazilian agricultural products, including sorghum, sesame, fresh grapes, and fishmeal, following agreements between presidents Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva and Xi Jinping. These markets, which have a trade potential of up to US$ 500 million annually, will benefit producers from various Brazilian regions. The Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply (MAPA) has outlined the phytosanitary and sanitary requirements for exporting these products. Companies exporting fishmeal, fish oil, and other fish-derived animal feed products must implement the Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) system.
