The Central Statistical Office (GUS) presented the scale of last year's industrial production, including those related to agriculture and the broadly understood agri-food sector. This includes, for example, food articles and machinery. According to GUS data, in 2024, the value of sold production of manufacturers' own products decreased by 4.9% compared to 2023 and amounted to 1,703.6 billion PLN. "Compared to the previous year, in 2024, the largest increase in the share of sold production was noted for the following divisions: food articles (by 1.2 percentage points) and chemicals and chemical products (by 0.4 percentage points). The largest decrease in share was recorded for divisions: electrical equipment (by 1.3 percentage points), hard and brown coal (by 0.6 percentage points), motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers (by 0.4 percentage points)," GUS lists in its communication.
