On November 17, 2022, eight dry cargo ships embarked from Ukrainian ports, carrying a total of 277,114 tons of grain and other food products as part of the Black Sea Grain Initiative. These ships were en route to countries such as Ethiopia, Italy, Turkey, China, the Netherlands, and Spain, with the World Food Program's Nord Vind specifically transporting wheat to Ethiopia. As of November 16, 67 dry cargo ships were awaiting permission to enter Ukrainian ports, and 16 loaded ships were under inspection in Turkish territorial waters. Since the initiative's inception, a total of 11,087,388 tons of grain and agricultural products have been exported from three Ukrainian ports.
