Morocco has seen a 16% increase in greenhouse tomato exports in the first seven months of 2024 compared to the average of the past five years, reaching 424 thousand tons. France is the primary recipient, followed by EU countries, Great Britain, and Sub-Saharan Africa. Germany has seen the most significant increase in imports, with 25 thousand tons in the first seven months of 2024. Morocco is also gaining popularity in the Polish tomato market, particularly with cherry tomatoes. A trade mission to Warsaw is planned for Egyptian and Moroccan suppliers in November to meet with Eastern European buyers.
