From 2010 to 2022, the cultivation area expanded from 1,514 ha to 2,403 ha, and production tripled from 1,543 tons to 4,750 tons. This surge has also led to a notable increase in wholesale prices. The popularity of unique dishes on social media is expected to further boost the market. Despite the rise in domestic production, mung bean imports have also increased annually, though they declined in 2022.
