Myanmar has seen increased honey exports to Japan over the past three months, with South Korea, Thailand, and China also showing interest. The country produces enough honey to meet domestic demand of 2,000 tons annually but exports an average of 4,000 tons yearly, with a goal of exceeding 3,000 tons this year. Beekeeping is prevalent in 24 townships across eight states and regions of Myanmar, with the state also engaging in bee pollination. Myanmar's honey production includes varieties like sesame flower honey and sis fruit honey.
