The price of cloves, also known as Panax ginseng, has significantly dropped, impacting farmers who have switched from growing citrus fruits to this crop. The fall in price is due to the COVID-19 pandemic's effect on exports to Korea and China, the primary markets. The decrease in price and the sudden drop in profit have led to difficulties for many farmers. To address these issues, Truc Thang commune is considering reviewing its planning and supervision of clove cultivation, with a focus on adhering to the supply-demand law and finding new consumption markets in collaboration with provincial agencies.
