F1 cucumber hybrid deemed most ideal for processing in Ukraine

Last week, a meeting of the tasting commission to evaluate canned fruits of new F1 cucumber hybrids, created by breeders of the Institute of Vegetable and Melon NAAS under the leadership of Dr. s.-g. Sciences Oksana Sergienko. This was reported by the press service of the Institute of Vegetable and Melon NAAS. Products were evaluated by organoleptic parameters "color", "appearance", "aroma", "consistency", "taste". All promising hybrids of the institute's selection had high quality canned products and exceeded the standards for "general evaluation". "The highest scores were received by the bee-pollinated hybrid of gherkin-type cucumber Sonnet F1 and parthenocarpic hybrid of gherkin-type cucumber Glory F1, which in addition to high productivity of high quality products are characterized by high disease resistance and bouquet of female flowers in the knot." ...
