Hwasun Nengju Agricultural Cooperative (Chairman No Jong-jin) launched a new high-quality rice, "Nengseongmi," on the 21st of last month. Produced from a 4-hectare contracted farming area, the rice was cultivated with strict farming standards in collaboration with local farmers since last March. "Nengseongmi" is a Jinsang 2ho variety, a late-maturing rice with a heading date of August 25, and has an amylose content of 12.2%, exhibiting characteristics of medium glutinous rice. When cooked, it has a glossy appearance, is chewy, and offers a balanced stickiness with a subtle sweetness, resulting in an excellent texture. The newly launched "Nengseongmi" can be purchased at the Nengju Agricultural Cooperative Local Food Complex Culture Center, Chunyang branch Hana Mart, and Hancheon branch Hana Mart, with the sales price.
