New conditions of Ukraine's visa-free trade with the EU are better than before the full-scale invasion, says Denys Marchuk.

Following the extension of the visa-free trade between Ukraine and the EU, Ukrainian farmers have received both new opportunities and certain restrictions. The consequences of the new conditions for Ukrainian producers were discussed by Deputy Chairman of the All-Ukrainian Agrarian Council (UAC) Denys Marchuk. “Thanks to the visa-free trade, which began in 2022, Ukrainian exports have been growing consistently and steadily. This is not only about raw materials—a significant part of value-added products has also been sent to Europe. It is worth noting that Ukrainian goods have received a positive reception in European markets—in Germany, Spain, Italy, where our products are actively purchased. As for the existing restrictions, they are stricter compared to 2024, but still better than in 2021. If earlier there was a quota of only 20 thousand tons for sugar, today it is already about the possibility of exporting about 100 thousand tons per year. These are significantly better figures ...
