Nonghyup Chungnam Sejong Branch, implements labor assistance during harvest season

[Korea Farmers News Agency Reporter Song Hae-chang] The Sejong Region Headquarters of the Central Federation of Agricultural Cooperatives in South Chungcheong visited a sweet potato farm in Noseong-myeon, Nonsan-si on the 17th to conduct a "Farmers' Heart, Farmers' Hands Harvest Season Volunteer Work" event. On this day, around 40 people, including Vice Director Kim Sang-sik of the South Chungcheong Sejong Branch of the Agricultural Cooperatives, Director Kim Jeong-wan of the Nonsan Branch of the Agricultural Cooperatives, and Chairman Park Hae-kwon of Sangwol Agricultural Cooperative, manually harvested sweet potatoes with hoes to help the farmers. A representative of the sweet potato farm said, "We were worried because the fields were muddy due to recent frequent rains, making it impossible to use harvesting machinery" and "We are truly grateful that the Agricultural Cooperatives' staff directly participated in the harvest.
