North Korea is attempting to alleviate its food shortage by expanding the production of basic food using wheat. The country is actively teaching the technology and method of producing intestines, wheat soy sauce, and wheat soybean paste. Officals from the local Ministry of Industry have prepared technical guidelines for the production of these foods and have distributed them to all cities and counties. This comes as North Korea changes its staple food to rice and wheat flour, and as the country increases its flour imports from Russia, the world's largest wheat grower.
