Olivais grow with favorable climate and technical management

The Conjunctural Report released by Emater/RS-Ascar on Thursday (11) points to progress in the development of olive groves in the administrative regions of Pelotas and Bagé. According to the bulletin, the recent conditions of hot and dry weather, coupled with a favorable winter, have resulted in orchards "in excellent condition and with an optimal load of fruits". In the Pelotas region, the technicians report that the orchards are in the development phase, with fruits at different stages according to the cultivar. The document reports that "the health status is very good". In the territory of Bagé, the local olive groves and those in nearby municipalities also show progress, especially in the phase of kernel hardening.
