Oman is interested in importing palm planting material from Russia for cultivation in the southern Russian federation, following talks between the country's Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources and Russia's agricultural watchdog, Rosselkhoznadzor. The discussion also led to an increase in the export of Russian wheat to Oman, with over 500 thousand tons delivered since the start of the year. Both countries express an interest in increasing trade turnover and are considering signing a memorandum of cooperation in ensuring the quality and safety of grain and its processed products. The Omani delegation commended Russia's grain quality and safety system.
