Turkiye: A facility in Bilecik produces one thousand tons of trout annually

One thousand tons of trout produced annually in the facility established 52 years ago in Bilecik are exported to various countries, especially Germany, Czech Republic and Russia. The facility, which started trout production in 55 ponds of different sizes on 35 decares of land in Bilecik's Bozüyük district in 1971, now exports trout to various countries, especially Germany, the Czech Republic and Russia. Facility Manager Erdal Lip stated that they send 90 percent of the trout they produce abroad and said, "Our facility started production in 1971 as Turkey's first aquaculture facility.
