The Orenburg region in Russia has seen a significant increase in agricultural exports from January 1 to August 15, 2020, with a total value of USD 87.3 million and a volume of 282.6 thousand tons, marking a 24.4% increase in value and a 33.3% increase in volume compared to the same period in 2019. The exports were mainly sunflower oil, cereals, residues and waste from the food industry, and oilseeds and fruits. The main importers were Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Switzerland, Belgium, and Kazakhstan. The top five exports included finished products from meat, fish, or aquatic invertebrates, with Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan being the main buyers.
