The Istanbul Cereals, Pulses, Oilseeds and Products Exporters' Association (İHBİR) reported a 26% increase in exports in May compared to the previous year, reaching $167 million. The January-May export figures also increased by 19.98% to $948 million 245 million dollars. The USA, Iraq, and Algeria were the main markets for these exports. İHBİR also highlighted the increase in exports of sugar and sugar products, pastry products, and cocoa products. The association is encouraging women entrepreneurs to export and has initiated the 'Women Inspiring Export Platform' program. The target for 2021 is $13.7 billion in exports, despite the challenges posed by the pandemic.
