Paraguay's meat market has received a boost as Taiwan has approved new meat processing plants in the country to export pork and beef. This development follows a visit by the president of the National Service for Quality and Animal Health (Senacsa), Dr. José Carlos Martin, and the vice minister of the Investment and Export Network (Reiex), Javier Viveros, to Taiwan to explore business opportunities. The authorization was granted by the Animal and Plant Health Inspection Agency (Aphia) to the meat processing plants Victoria and Pirayú for beef and pork exports respectively. Additionally, the European Union has successfully evaluated the audit of beef production in Paraguay, a necessary step in renewing Paraguay's authorization to export beef and horse meat to the EU.
