Exports from the pork sector in Paraguay have shown significant growth, with a 127% increase in meat and offal shipments from January to September compared to the same period in 2022. The National Animal Quality and Health Service (Senacsa) reported a 196% increase in income for the sector, reaching USD 12,876,547, thanks to the authorization of the Republic of China (Taiwan) market. Taiwan was the main export market, acquiring 54% of the volume, followed by Uruguay with 28% and Georgia with 15%. However, there was a 76% decrease in offal shipments during the same period. The fluctuations in volume and prices are considered normal due to market dynamics.
